Dreams and Vision

Dreams and Visions Joel 2:28

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. The memories of the deliverance of the Israelites from defeat, and oppression, gave them hope in tough times. When Rome oppressed them, they had visions and dreams of a new future for their people. They believed a messiah would usher in a new reality for them. Indeed, God sent a deliverer for his people named Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ ushered in a new age where visions and dreams became a reality, and people were blessed in new ways. In October and November 2022, we developed a list of memories and blessings we received as members of the Greenwood Memorial United Methodist Church community. We will present our congregational memories in a worship service in the new year. Our memories will inspire our visions and dreams for our holy community in 2023. We can praise God that the blessed celebration of Jesus Christ's coming will be lifted on December 25, Christmas Day.
