Dreaming

Dreaming

When Mary McLeod Bethune was interviewed in 1939 or 1940, she revealed she had three dreams that helped her to envision her school for Colored girls. This school would eventually become Bethune Cookman College in Florida, a college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Dreams or envisioning are incredibly powerful because they help us to set goals for our lives. People in communities like the church also have dreams and visions for their church. Greenwood Memorial family, what dreams do you have for your church after life's challenges and the upending years of the COVID epidemic, BLM, and world turmoil? These final days of summer are a good time to envision the beauty and strength of our church. We will come together in the fall to share testimonies of victory from the past years and share dreams that will help us to dream into the future.

May your summer days be blessed,

Rev. Imani
